Dubai is one of the most attractive cities in the world not just for the tourists, investors, businessmen but for the job-seekers as well. There are so many attractions in this city for everyone including the jobs, tax free economy for the businessmen and the world’s best hotels for the tourists to stay in. According to the latest news, Dubai has witnessed large number of tourists and investors in the year 2011, the figure is around 50 percent more than that of previous year 2010 and it is expected that the number of visitors will be almost more than double in the year 2012.

Individuals get attracted towards Dubai due to number of reasons such as:

Affordable tourist packages and hotels:
Mostly tourists around the world are looking for affordable holiday destinations and Dubai is quite popular for its ultimate destinations and luxurious hotels options. High profile and classic destinations cast the image of lavish and deluxe spots in tourists’ minds. Due to economic downturn, Dubai hotels are becoming more affordable. Every hotel has been advertising the best packages as compared to others just to attract more tourists. Therefore, these hotels have become one of the major attractions of the region for tourists all around the world.

Career opportunities in the hospitality sector:
Construction, real estate and hospitality are one of the most attractive industries of Dubai that are enjoying relatively better growth in this region while during the tough economic phase. These industries are performing better in Dubai as compared to other regions. Skilled workers and talented professionals relevant to these industries find Dubai attractive because they get excellent career opportunities in Dubai. Due to rapid development and expansions in this region, multi-national companies are coming into the market with their unique offers and hotels that are also bringing wonderful job opportunities for talented professionals and workers.

Tax Free zone:
The last but not the least attractive opportunity of Dubai is that it is a tax free zone. Most of the investors are investing into hospitality sector and building hotels to cater the tourists’ needs in a unique manner but also to generate good revenue on their investment.

I used to get emails from readers who ask my tips to help them in planning their trip to Dubai and UAE. Therefore I have decided to discuss this matter in upcoming blog post. I got an email from Susan Smith, who wanted to pack her bag from the USA and decided to celebrate her 18th birthday and vacations along azure and sandy beaches of Dubai. She asked that she has listened a lot about this holiday destination but does not have any idea where to stay, how much they charge, which hotels are the best to stay and how much money is needed for two weeks stay?

This sort of question is very obvious from tourists so I decided to answer this email on this blog. Let’s come to a part of your question in which you asked where you should stay? Dubai offers a wonderful collection of high class hotels, resorts and short stay apartments to cater people with every taste and budget. Dubai has numerous world class hotels that have much more to offer the tourists. Let’s talk about few five star hotels that every tourist must consider.

Atlantis – The Palm!

If you want to enjoy your trip according to a true Arabic theme then you must plan to stay in a five star hotel, The Atlantis. The towering arches, deep domes and flamboyant spires describe complete Arabic architectural design that gives you constant surprises. Every room and suite presents a magnificent view for people of every taste.

One&Only Royal Mirage!

Another tribute is paid to Arabian architecture by the architects when One&Only Royal Mirage (The Palace) resort was constructed on Jumeirah Beach. It is considered as one of the most stylish resort constructed alongside beach. The hotel has big rooms, huge pool and water sports centre. Visitors can enjoy every activity there such as tennis, sailing, surfing, windsurfing, beach side volley ball, diving, snorkeling and can enjoy full spa treatments and shopping in the world’s famous shopping malls.

Rest of the 5 star restaurants will be discussed in the next post soon.

Though Dubai is a clean and safe city for tourists and Dubai Government carries out immunization programs successfully to keep the tourists and travelers healthy and safe. Due to strict rules and regulations imposed by Dubai Government and provision of clean water and high standards of cleanliness in Dubai hotels, the city is honored as one of the cleanest cities in the world. There are no reported cases of any severe travelers’’ illness. Hotels and restaurants are kept clean according to the high international health and safety standards. This is about city but being a tourist, you must also be aware of health risks and it is always better to be on a safer side.

In the following post, let’s assume what travelers must do before landing into Dubai and staying in any of the hotels there.

Health Check!

The city is touted as “the clean city” of the world and therefore no special kind of vaccination is required before going to Dubai but to be on safer side, it is better to undergo a health checkup. It is just to avoid any health complication, if you are traveling from a health-risk area. Taking tetanus or flu inoculation is recommended, especially if you are planning for a long trip.

Hepatitis A is very rare and is transmitted just by infected water and food so be very careful while eating food anywhere in the city. Hepatitis B, C and D are transmitted through sexual contact, blood transfusion and through unsterilized needles. You must be very conscious wherever you are and when you are in any city.

Other Lesser Health Risks!

Mosquitoes are everywhere in towns and cities, though government is trying to get rid of them completely and got remarkable success in this combat. However, different kinds of moths and mosquitoes are found in desert and beach areas, especially if you are staying in camp. Therefore, mild fever tablets and mosquito repellents are recommended to carry along you to avoid falling ill while visiting to Dubai.

Weather is extremely hot in Dubai and to avoid heatstroke, you must carry ample amount of drinking water, hats, sunglasses and sun block lotions, to protect your skin.

This is all for today. I am not saying you not to fly to Dubai to enjoy your holidays; I am just saying to take preventive actions before visiting.

When planning a city break, it might appear more sensible to stay within Europe rather than go further afield. But as modes of long-distance transport increase in sophistication and availability, they also decrease in price and inconvenience. What might have seemed a prohibitively expensive place to visit some years ago could now be explored at a much more reasonable cost.

Dubai is a perfect example. Travel companies such as Thomas Cook offer holidays that merit the extra distance, offering comprehensive packages, including flights and accommodation in stunning beach resorts, for prices under £400. Given that you can get to such an exotic destination for comparatively little, it’s worth considering what you could do to spend your time while you’re there. Dubai is famous for its innovative architecture and striking skyline, but naturally there are a few things that you wouldn’t be able to see from pictures:

•	Burj Khalifa: opened in January 2010, this is currently the tallest building in the world. The view from the top of this 2,717-foot structure is of course astounding, and can be appreciated in full by a visit to the observation deck on floor number 124. If you would like to lay claim to having eaten in the world’s highest restaurant, At.mosphere on the 122nd floor would be the place to visit. Alternatively, if you are not so keen on heights, the 27-acre Burj Khalifa park at ground level is beautifully designed and maintained.

•	Jumeirah Grand Mosque: this very different kind of building is located in one of Dubai’s more upmarket residential areas on the shore. A resplendent structure of cream-white stone, this mosque is a wonderful demonstration of the kind of splendour that characterises sacred architecture in the Middle East. It is also open to non-Muslims for extensive guided tours and introductions to Islam.

•	Dubai Museum: although references to Dubai date back to the 11th century, the oldest complete surviving building is the Al Fahidi Fort, built in 1787 and host to the Dubai Museum. This institution endeavours to show people something of life in the Emirates before oil was discovered there, displaying artefacts uncovered in the region from as long ago as 3000 BC.

•	Dubai Mall: if you are interested in shopping whilst on holiday, or if you would like to see the largest mall in the world, then this impressive cathedral to consumer culture should not be missed. Not only does the Dubai Mall house over 1,200 stores, but it also hosts an aquarium and an ice rink, both of suitably impressive quality.

It is often believed that Dubai is a place and holiday choice only for wealthy fellows who just want to relax. But now Dubai hotels are proving this concept wrong. If you are planning for a short trip with a unique and pleasurable vacation experience than consider these options before finalizing your tour.

Dubai Hotels sometimes sound quite expensive but there are some great options with quality and style like Dubai Hotel Apartments and single or double bed rooms. Four and five star hotels are very famous and are located in very tactical places. More than 15 five and four stars hotels are located around Jumeirah.

Dubai Hotel Apartments are the best and most cost effective option for your family or group stay in hotels. These apartments are like Hotel Rooms; you can check-in and check-out anytime and they are available on monthly, weekly or even daily basis depending upon your stay time. Location is ideal as most of these hotel apartments are situated in key locations of the city like, Palm Jumeirah, Palm Islands, Dubai Marina. Several Hotel Apartments of 1, 2 or 3 bedrooms cost you only 2500 to 4500 AED per week and this is not really a big amount for whole family stay. Many hotels also have gyms, spas and swimming pools and many other luxury amenities giving you best return for your money.

There is no off season in Dubai, so it can surely be your next vacation destination. Hopefully this post will help you in choosing right place for your short stay in Dubai. Get real feel of the place and enjoy you stay in Dubai.
