Most people around the globe may think that tourism is synonymous to one state in emirate and that is Dubai. Dubai’s development in every field especially in tourism and hospitality sector has made the other 6 emirates to follow Dubai in this path. Abu Dhabi has come forward to change the image regarding all that concepts. Abu Dhabi which was oil-state once is all set to find its share in tourism revenue dollars. Emirate has mapped out its plans for cultural districts and made its name as a Formula 1 destination, golf courses and luxury hotels. It means Abu Dhabi is turning from oil-rich state to a business state.

“I think people didn’t take us seriously when we talked about economic diversification,” said Mubarak Hamad Al Muhairi director general of the Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority, “They see Abu Dhabi as an oil and gas economy, but things are changing. People aren’t drugged by oil here, they understand in the next few generations that it won’t be here. Tourism means jobs and opportunities for investment – there’s a lot of potential and we’re building fast on that.”

After this news critics have become interested in comparing this success track with Dubai which seems irritating but this is obvious. Media loves to have such news and more interested in comparison. Abu Dhabi is the biggest state of U.A.E and is ready to convert its revenue generated from oil and gas reserves to welcome tourism industry on this land. This is a positive sign for dwellers as more tourism means more jobs and more prosperity.
